July 13

We like it here so much we decided to stay another night!

This park is called Mactaquac Provincial Park.  And in spite of its unpronounceable name, it really is nice here.  Isaac is enjoying himself very much.  He spent lots of time swimming today. He played with different kids but didn’t get attached to any of them.  He loves the playground and running with kids there too.

He did make some friends though.

There is an older couple camping for the season on a site across from ours.  Isaac stops to talk to everyone he sees as we walk through the park, and this couple seem quite taken with him.  I guess he’s like their grandchild.  Their names are Paulette and Keith.  AKA Polly and Keiffer.

The other thing we did today was laundry.

Isaac wet the bed last night for the first time on this trip.  He’s been excellent at keeping dry both day and night so far, but last night he broke his perfect record.  Oh well, at least he did it while we were at a place with laundry facilities.

We ran the bedding and some clothes through the machines and ate dinner at the canteen while we were waiting.  We also had ice cream.  We indulged in showers last night, so we’ll take advantage of hot water again tomorrow morning before we leave.

I think Isaac will be a bit sad to leave.  Its hard to explain to him that more adventures are waiting down the road.

Isaac misses you too, but he also makes new friends everywhere we go. Everyone is his best friend… whether they like it or not.
